MAFUMEIRA SUL PPP JACKET

Mafumeira Sul PPP jacket was a milestone achievement in the Shallow Water Fabrication for Sonamet. With a dry weight of 5350 mT PPP jacket is the heaviest jacket ever fabricated in West Africa.

Delivered vertically to ease the offshore operations, posed one of the biggest challenge in terms of lifting operations for Sonamet. Two towers that were fabricated horizontally were upended by two separate operations of 1750 mT each with five cranes working in unison.

CRX JACKETS & DECKS

Congo River Crossing (CRX) is the second EPC project executed by Sonamet in 2011-12  for Chevron.

CRX was another opportunity for Sonamet to showcase the ability to meet the increasing demands in the industry. Sonamet subcontracted procurement to Subsea 7 and engineering to EDG Houston.

Sonamet’s ability to deliver EPC projects in line with client’s quality and safety expectations raised the status of Sonamet as not just an Angolan competitor but also on a global scale.
